چکیده
A study was made on the cytogenetic effect of heavy-metal and cyanide polluted waters from the region of Panagjurishte – Southwest Bulgaria. A plant test-system Allium cepa in vivo was used. A decreased cell division rate was established, and deviations from the normal mitosis in the result of chromosome mutations were registered. The method used is applicable for biological monitoring of waters contaminated with heavy metals and cyanides.

متن کاملInvestigation of some heavy metals contaminations in the Asalouyeh and its effect on fish muscle (Scomberomorus guttatus and Brachirus orientalis) in GIS
One of the pollutants produced by gas and petrochemical industries in Assaluyeh region is heavy metals which, by entering of these industries into the Persian Gulf, has caused water and aquatic pollution. Therefore, in the present study were investigated the concentration of non-carcinogenic hazard quotient index (NHQI) of heavy metals (Fe, Cr, Pb, Cu, Zn, Cd, Se, Ni) in Persian Gulf waters and...
متن کاملAbility of some crops for phytoremediation of nickel and zinc heavy metals from contaminated soils
The present study was aimed at comparing the ability of three crop plants for phytoremediation of zinc (Zn) and nickel (Zn) from soils. A factorial (3×2×3) experiment based on RCBD was used to compare the treatments, and was repeated three times. The first factor was crop type (wheat, clover and rapeseed), the second factor was heavy metal types (zinc (Zn) and nickel (Ni)) and the third factor ...
متن کاملPhytoremediation potential of heavy metals by two native pasture plants (Eucalyptus grandis and ailanthus altissima) assisted with AMF and fibrous minerals in contaminated mining regions
The current study assesses the effect of fibrous clay minerals’ amendments and arbuscular mycorrhiza incubation on heavy metal uptake and translocation in Eucalyptus grandis and Ailanthus altissima plants. For doing so, Eucalyptus and ailanthus trees have been grown in a soil sample, contaminated with heavy metal iron ore mining and collected from southern Iran. The area under study is arid, wi...
